Cotopaxi is the highest active volcano in the world and is only an hour and a half from Quito. Inside the park you can enjoy the impressive views of the volcano as well as walk around the Limpiopungo lake to observe the endemic flora and fauna of the Ecuadorian Andes. If you have more time, we recommend you stay one night in the only authorized accommodation inside the Cotopaxi park to admire the impressive starry night.
